CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)

CNA's work in Nursing homes, Hospitals, Home Health and Assisted Living facilities. Because of their direct contact with their residents/ patients, CNA’s are considered to be the eyes and ears for the residents/patients that they care for on the daily basis.

CNA's have various duties and responsibilities. They commonly carry out the following duties:

• Ensuring and promoting resident’s rights

• Measuring and recording Vital signs

• Assist patients in meeting nutrition and elimination needs

• Assist patients with mobility

• Assist patients with personal hygiene and grooming

• Assist in promoting patient safety and environmental cleanliness  

Medication Aide

Medication Aides work in Assisted Living facilities. Learn how to properly administer medications to those in need. You will learn how medications work in the body and how to properly administer medications to your residents including:

• Oral

• Topical

• Eye-drops

• Insulin injections

• Buccal

• Trans-dermal  

PCA (Patient Care Assistant)

The PCA provides one on one supervision for safety and assistance to the client in the clients’ home.

We offer day and Medication Aide classes.

Clinical time is 6:45am-1:00pm**

Personal Care Aide Training (PCA)

The PCA provides one on one supervision for safety and assistance to the client in the clients’ home.

DUTIES includes but are not limited to-

Home management tasks including housekeeping, laundry, shopping and errands

  • Prepare and serve simple modified diets according to instruction and assist with feeding as necessary

• Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming

• Assist with toileting, including use of bedpan, commode or toilet

• Assist self-directing consumers with transfers and ambulation including use of cane, walker, and wheelchair

• Assist self-directing consumers with medication reminders or refilling the consumer’s prescription at the local pharmacy as specified on plan of care

• Provide routine skin care.  

May assist self-directing consumers in applying nonprescription topical medications to skin surface
